ASU Poly DNA Fellowship

ASU Poly DNA Fellowship is a welcoming Christian community serving international students and visiting scholars at Arizona State University’s Polytechnic campus. D stands for discipleship, N stands for nurture, and A stands for accountability. Dr. Lixiao Huang began the ministry in 2019 while working at ASU as a Research Assistant Professor. Recognizing that international students at the more remote Polytechnic campus often have limited support, she began helping with practical needs such as meals, housing information, transportation, and adjusting to life in a new culture. Through genuine friendship and everyday acts of care, Lixiao and a growing team of volunteers also create opportunities for students to explore the Christian faith and hear the gospel.

Today, the fellowship welcomes students from China and many other countries, including India, Pakistan, Malaysia, and Singapore. Biweekly gatherings include shared meals, Bible stories, the Alpha course, small-group discussions on important topics, holiday and birthday celebrations, cultural activities, and outdoor events. Although Lixiao is now launching her own company, she continues to lead this ministry part-time, supporting students and building a caring community where they can belong, form meaningful relationships, and learn about Jesus so they may experience life to the full.

Lixiao is an active member of Ironwood Church and partners with volunteers from other local churches to serve international students at the ASU Polytechnic campus and in the surrounding area. All donations to support Lixiao and this ministry are tax-deductible.
